Livelihoods

Everyone has the right to provide for themselves and their families, to increase their well-being, and to participate in developing the social, economic, and political situation of their societies.

FCA Kenya is implementing livelihood interventions in Kerio Valley involving horticulture with drought-resistant crops (green grams, tomatoes, watermelons) and goat rearing.

In Nairobi County, we are training youth from the informal settlements in Eastlands on our Creative Industries project . The project aims to support digital competencies and empower youth with digital skills for self-employment, e.g., audiovisual production, gaming and fashion design.

Our objective is to reduce poverty by promoting inclusive, sustainable economic development, particularly through the employment of women, youth and refugees. We create more livelihood opportunities through entrepreneurship training, Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET), saving groups and business cooperatives for women.
